Actor Ajith Kumar’s mother, Mohini Mani (85), passed away.

She had been suffering from age-related ailments for some time and breathed her last at her residence in Chennai on Saturday morning.

Ajith Kumar, who is currently in Dubai, left for Chennai immediately after receiving the news. It may be recalled that his father also passed away three years ago.

Several members of the film industry have expressed their condolences over the demise of Ajith’s mother through social media, praying for her soul to rest in peace.

The reports also suggest that the last rites are scheduled to be held today in Chennai. An official statement from Ajith Kumar's team is awaited.
