Meet the couple who met and got engaged on Twitter
Not all relationships kindled online are of the Tinder-variety. Some people have found long-lasting bonds in the virtual world, while some – like Anuj Patel and Sumita Dalmia – have even gotten engaged! Yup, the two love birds did find true love – on Twitter.
The Atlanta-based couple met on Twitter where they happened to discuss about a local event they both wanted to attend and although their original plan didn’t work out, their destinies were meant to be the same.

Their online interactions steadily progressed from retweets to DMs and then phone calls to even actual meetings. They attended events together and even went on a few dates. After enjoying each other’s company on Twitter as well as in real life – Anuj thought of taking their relationship to the next level.

So, he figured out a unique proposal idea. He came up with a scavenger hunt named #SumitaFindAnuj, where he left clues for Sumita on their Twitter timelines. Needless to say, his beloved said yes and the two lovebirds are now happily engaged.
