Astronaut tweets picture of first flower grown in space

First ever flower grown in space makes its debut!

Here’s how it looks when sci-fi turns reality. Recently Astronaut Scott Kelly tweeted pictures of the firs flower grown in Space.

Captain Kelly has managed to grow the first ever flower in zero gravity. The picture he tweeted is of orange zinnia.

He also shared a blog by NASA that explain the procedure of how to grow plants in space.

In December, he tweeted a picture of the budding plant and he said " Our plants aren't looking too good. Would be a problem on Mars. I'm going to have to channel my inner Mark Watney," in his tweet.

Scott has been spending his time in space beginning March last year. He is currently on board the International Space Station for over 290 days and is breaking the record to spend most time in space.
