Berlin (Germany), Mar 31 (ANI): A large number of Baloch activists living in exile in different parts of Europe took to the streets of Berlin, earlier this week demonstrating against Pakistan’s illegal occupation of Balochistan for seven decades. They carried “Black Day” floats with them as it was on the same day according to them when Pakistan had annexed their territory. They raised anti- Pakistan slogans all along their march. They also accused Pakistan of carrying out genocide. Even after seven decades of its forceful occupation, Pakistan has failed to provide even basic facilities such as primary education, healthcare, and potable water to the people of the resource-rich province of Balochistan. The China- Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which is constantly touted as an economic game changer by Islamabad administration has only added to the woes of the people of the region. Locals accuse the dreadful Pakistan-China coalition, of exercising extreme high handedness in order to exploit the resources of the region and throw the Balochs out. Balochs have been raising their issues at various international platforms. At recently held 37th Session of Human Rights Council, the activists raised the issue of enforced disappearances, torture and killings ofBaloch political activists and intellectuals. A large number of people in Balochistan are internally displaced whereas many have taken exile in other countries. The situation is deteriorating as Pakistan army and its intelligence agency are on a rampage to eliminate the identity of indigenous Baloch people.
