Chandigarh, Apr 29 (ANI): After Supreme Court banned fire crackers in Diwali last year, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemical Sciences at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Mohali, Samrat Ghosh along with his team have developed a prototype of a smoke-free, non polluting firecracker. To make this unique item viable in the market, they are negotiating with entrepreneurs to make the product available by Diwali. The eco-friendly firecrackers can also be used by farmers to scare away animals and birds from their farms and will also prove to be helpful for Air Force or Airport Authority to keep the away birds from flights.
