Tollywood actor Nani was the first major Telugu actor to congratulate Vijay. The HIT 3 star took to social media to congratulate the Tamil superstar on the impactful debut of his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). In a nuanced post, the Natural Star drew a parallel between the political shifts in Tamil Nadu and the recent success of Pawan Kalyan in Andhra Pradesh.
Nani remarked, "First doubted and then crowned. Happened at our home and now it’s happening in our neighbouring home," clearly referencing Pawan Kalyan’s rise to Deputy CM. He characterized the phenomenon as "absolute cinema (or should I say absolute politics?)", celebrating the triumph of the "underdog".
