Ram Ram Charan and Akhil Akkineni will perform for the first time on stage; Tamanaah too will be performing

How many times have you seen top male actors from T’wood give live performances on stage? We’re pretty sure your answer is going to be hardly.

But now, in what seems like the first of many moves, some of the top male celebs from the industry — Ram Charan and even newcomer Akhil Akkineni among others — will be performing for the first time on stage at the IIFA Utsavam.

The event is being held this month, after it was postponed in December due to the Chennai floods. And it’s not going to be just another celebrity event. News is that, the two-day celebration is also going to raise funds for the flood-affected victims.

The IIFA management also launched the ‘Be One For Chennai’ campaign to garner support and raise funds towards relief for the flood affected.

Mahesh Babu was more than eager to be part of the event, He said, “I’m pleased to be part of the Utsavam and it is such a good thing that they are showing their solidarity for the Chennai flood victims.” I can’t wait for the celebration to start,”says Mahesh Babu.

Nagarjuna, who is riding on the success of his latest film too was very happy about this move, “It’s a great thing to honour South India cinema, but the move to also raise funds for Chennai is even better. I applaud the management on their decision,” he says.

According to sources the management is going all out to make sure the programme is a huge success which is also where the top actors come into play.

Ram Charan will pay tribute to his father by dancing to songs from his film and this performance is a first for him.

Cherry posted on social networking website, “Performing at IIFA on 25th Jan in Hyderabad. Rehearsals going on and the energy here is great!! It’s always lovely to meet DSP”! Ram Charan will be joined by Tamannaah who hasn’t been seen much here in recent times.

The event will also see stars like Kamal Hassan and Chiranjeevi among others!
