Jr NTR’s 25th movie Nannaku Prematho is likely to make a record first-day collection this Sankranti.
The film, which is being shown in more than 90 per cent of screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, is considered the second biggest release after Baahubali, hitting around 1,700 screens worldwide.
The film is expected to come in third after Baahubali and Srimanthudu in terms of opening day collections.
Trade pundits are expecting a nearly Rs 14-crore share on the first day of release, which will be the highest opening revenue for a Jr NTR movie. Official figures will be in by Thursday morning.
The only other film in the theatres is Nenu Sailaja. Two more films are due to release on Thursday and half of the theatres are cutting down on Nannaku Prematho.
Still, this festival weekend is expected to earn huge revenues for all the movies releasing over the next few days.
