Ye Hai Mohabbatein is gearing up for a highpoint in the show. The upcoming episodes will see lead protagonist Ishita Bhalla (Divyanka Tripathi) fighting fiercely for Rohit’s custody.
The show has already witnessed the entry of two new characters — Mr and Mrs Chaddha — as Rohit’s biological parents.
Now with the custody battle between Ishita and Rohit’s parents steaming up, the show is set to introduce a new, pivotal character — a lawyer to fight Ishita’s case.
Vying for the same are television’s top six actresses — Ankita Lokhande, Jennifer Winget, Mandira Bedi, Shweta Salve, Sana Sheikh and Barkha Bisht.
Commenting on the development, a source reveals, “Since the track is very important, the production house has approached top six actresses to essay the role. Interestingly, all the actresses approached are keen on doing the role, so the production house is having a tough time finalising someone.”
Meanwhile, not wanting to ruffle any feathers, the production house has approached a lesser-known actress Pavitra Poonya too for the same role.
