BSNL Launches Satellite Phone Service for Remote Connectivity at ₹1.34 Lakh

State-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced its Satellite Phone service, aimed at ensuring seamless communication in areas where conventional mobile networks are inaccessible.
According to BSNL, the satellite phone is specifically designed for challenging environments and is expected to benefit sectors such as defence, maritime operations, disaster response, mining, and adventure travel.
The device enables users to make voice calls from virtually any location using satellite connectivity. It also comes equipped with emergency support features and a long battery life, making it suitable for critical and remote operations.
BSNL has priced the satellite phone at ₹1,34,166 (inclusive of all taxes). Customers can obtain further details by contacting the company or visiting their nearest BSNL office.
The launch highlights BSNL’s push to expand connectivity solutions beyond traditional telecom infrastructure, particularly in underserved and high-risk regions.
