LG V30 launched with OLED FullVision display

LG is yet to announce the pricing for the device, but the smartphone will go up against the likes of iPhone 8 and Galaxy Note 8.

LG has launched its much anticipated V30 smartphone at IFA 2017. The smartphone resembles the previously launched G6 smartphone. LG is yet to announce the pricing for the device, but the smartphone will go up against the likes of iPhone 8 and Galaxy Note 8.

As per the specifications, the LG V30 sports a 6-inch QHD+ OLED FullVision display with 1440 x 2880 pixel resolution, 538ppi and HDR 10 support. The screen is Daydream VR compatible and also features the ‘Always-on’ display.

The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with custom UI - UX 6.0+. The smartphone offers 64GB/128GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.

Optics wise, the smartphone comes equipped with a dual camera setup comprising of a 16MP with f/1.6 aperture and a 13MP wide angle sensor. The camera setup also comes with a Crystal Clear Lens for better colour reproduction. For selfies, the device packs a 5MP front facing shooter.

The LG V30 also boasts a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC powered by Bang & Olufsen and also comes bundled with B&O Play earphones. For high-resolution audio streaming the device has support for Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) technology.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth v5.0 with BLE, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0 support. The smartphone draws power from a 3300mAh battery with support for wireless and quick charging.

The LG V30 is IP68 water and dust resistant and features a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel and also packs facial recognition technology.
