"See you on 7th", read the invitation which Apple send to media outlets on August, 29, 2016. Apple is slated to unveil iPhone 7 at an event on September 7 at 10am, Pacific or 1pm, Eastern. However, leaks about the smartphone pricing have already started surfacing online.
According to a report via technology website, Phone Radar, iPhone 7 will come in two variants, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Also, the report suggests that both the variant will be available in three storage options ranging from 32GB to 128GB, and to 256GB.
The iPhone 7 will be priced at 5,288 yuan (approx Rs 51,300), 6,088 yuan (approx Rs 61,200), and 7,088 yuan (approx Rs 71,300) respectively. On the other hand, iPhone 7 Plus will be available at 6,088 yuan (approx Rs 61,200), 6,888 yuan (approx Rs 69,200), and 7,888 yuan (approx Rs 79,300) respectively.
Those who are unaware, leaks suggests that the new iPhone will have a similar design as the previous variant, apart from the antenna lines which are moved from the back to the top and bottom sides of the device. Also the device will no longer house the 3.5-mm audio jack.
The audio jack will be replaced by a speaker grill and the only connecting port will be the Lightning. The new phone will also have a larger rear camera placed at the top left of the phone, as well as dual cameras on the Plus variant.
