HMD Global introduces its new Nokia mid-range smartphones – the Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1. These phones are considered to be updated versions of last year’s trio of Nokia devices. The new trio of phones are based on Android 8.0 Oreo OS.
Firstly, the Nokia 5.1 features a 5.5-inch Full HD+ display with a Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is built around a MediaTek 6755S processor paired up with 2/3GB of RAM and 16/32GB of storage. It also supports microSD card expansion of up to 128GB. It boasts a 16MP camera on the rear and an 8MP selfie shooter on the front. The Nokia 5.1 is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery. It supports Bluetooth v4.2 and lastly, it comes in Black, Blue and Copper colour variants.
The Nokia 3.1 comes with the same display technology as the 5.1 but in a 5.2-inch form factor. This is powered by a MediaTek 6750N processor followed by the identical storage options as the 5.1. However, the camera differs with a 13MP primary camera and also carries an 8MP front camera sensor. It supports the latest Bluetooth v5.0 and the phone is fuelled by a 2990mAh battery. The Nokia 3.1 features in Black, Blue and White colour variants.
Lastly, the Nokia 2.1 appears to be an entry-level smartphone from HMD Global as it is an Android-Go-powered smartphone. It features a 5.5-inch HD 16:9 display and is built on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 chipset with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The phone is equipped with 8MP primary camera sensor and a 5MP selfie shooter. The Nokia 2.1 is powered by a 4000mAh battery and the phone is featured in Blue and Silver colour variants.
Additionally, all the phones support LTE, USB Type-C, GPS and carry 3.5mm headphone jacks. Prices of these trio are yet to be known for the Indian market....
