Samsung officially launches Galaxy A8 (2016)
Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy A8 (2016) in South Korea. The device was in rumour mill for long. The smartphone has almost similar design as its predecessors, including a full metal body.
The Galaxy A8 (2016) comes with Always On Display, which was first introduced on company's flagships, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. The new smartphone sports a 5.7-inch full HD display and is powered by a a Exynos 7420 processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM. It features a fingerprint scanner and support for Samsung Pay.
It is fitted with 16MP rear camera, while there is an 8MP for taking selfies. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and has 32GB of internal storage capacity.
Samsung's carrier partners in South Korea will start taking pre-orders for the smartphone soon. Customers who pre-order before October 4, will receive a free phone case, a screen protector and a microSD card.
