Samsung Galaxy S8 will sport dual camera
Samsung’s upcoming flagship Galaxy S8 was rumoured to sport a dual camera till last month, and now a new patent application filed by the company in S.Korea has added credentials to the early rumours.
According to a report by SamMobile, in the patent application filed on Sept. 13, a camera interface with improved zoom control functionalities was revealed. The company’s patent application highlighted a one-finger gesture, to help users zooming in the camera app. At present, Samsung’s camera app features a pinch-to-zoom option in its app, or is using volume keys to zoom in and out.
In terms of specifications, the smartphone is expected to feature a 4.2-inch 4K display with a resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels, further protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The device is said to be powered by an octa-core 3.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. Fuelled by a 4,200mAh of battery, the smartphone may sport a 30MP rear camera, and a 9MP front camera.
Samsung Galaxy S8 is speculated to release next year in January or February. However, Samsung hasn’t yet confirmed any rumours about the device.
