Xiaomi introduces Redmi 3 Pro with Snapdragon 616, 3GB RAM

The Redmi 3 Pro packs a powerful 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 SOC along with an Adreno 405 GPU, and 3GB RAM.

Mumbai: After launching its flagship Smartphone Mi 5 at the MWC 2016, consumer tech giant Xiaomi on Tuesday announced the all new Redmi 3 Pro, which is equipped with a Snapdragon 616 chipset, and 3GB RAM.

According to reports, the handset will be available for purchase in China starting April 6 at just 900 Yuan (140 dollars).

In terms of display, the smartphone features a large 5-inch HD capacitive touch screen display, which is decent for any premium-budget device.

The device features a 13MP primary camera with phase detection auto-focus, f/2.0 aperture, LED flash, and video recording. Moreover, the 5MP front snapper is more than enough for clicking selfies and video calling.

Under the hood, the Redmi 3 Pro packs a powerful 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 SOC along with an Adreno 405 GPU, and 3GB RAM. In terms of storage, the device includes 32GB internal storage capacity, and can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Moreover, the handset offers all-inclusive connectivity options such as 4G LTE, hybrid-dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MicroUSB 2.0, and GPS. The stock device will employ with a MIUI 7 OS, which is closely based on Android Lollipop.

One of the USPs of this device is surely its massive 4,100-mAh battery, which is enough to last a day or two, even after non-stop operation. The device also has a fingerprint scanner on the rear.

Although, the company has not yet confirmed anything regarding the availability of the device in other regions, reports suggest that the device will be available in India very soon. However, the price of the Redmi 3 Pro might be a little higher in India.
