Xiaomi to bring upgraded version of Redmi Note 4 with Snapdragon 653 SoC, 4GB RAM

Xiaomi is in works to bring an upgraded version of its Redmi Note 4 handset namely Redmi Note 4X next year.

Recent online leaks suggest that Redmi Note 4X will be an upgrade version of Redmi Note 4, upgrading the processor from MediTek Helio X20 to Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 and RAM from 2GB/3GB to 4GB with 64GB storage option. While the phone is expected to feature the same 5.5-inch full HD display as sported by Redmi Note 4 model.

Earlier reports had claimed that Xiaomi is likely to launch the Redmi Note 4 in India during January, but with Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with Adreno 506 GPU.

To recall, Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch full HD display, 2GB/3GB with 16GB/ 64GB internal storage respectively. The storage can be further expanded using microSD card. It sports a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The smartphone is packed with 4100mAh battery and runs on Android 6 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 atop.
