Motorola's new Z play smartphone is here

The Moto Z2 Play is touted to come with a 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 resolution

Over the week, there was a number of Moto’s upcoming Moto Z2 leaked in a number of retail images which revealed that the smartphone could arrive in the next few weeks. Now, leaked images have cropped up in Droidholic with pictures of the retail box and accompanying new images of the phone.

The leaked images show a red color for the retail box, which also mentions Moto Z2 Play’s compatibility with Moto Mods, since previous pictures did reveal connector pins at the back of the phone. Moreover, the Lenovo branding is visible on one side of the box and the model featured inside has a plastic display cover which reveals some of the specs.

The Moto Z2 Play is touted to come with a 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 resolution and a fingerprint scanner embedded in the oval-shaped home button in the front. The phone will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Additionally, the phone is also slated to have fast charging the battery is visible inside the box, together with the USB to micro USB cable and earphones. The recently leaked renders which showed up on SlashLeaks, show the back panel of the upcoming phone, together with the Motorola branding.

Moto Z2 Play is touted to arrive with a 12MP single-lens camera on its back and a 5MP selfie snapper on the front panel, with support for Full HD video recording. It will run Snapdragon 626 and Android 7.1.1 Nougat out box. Other specs include 2.5D curved glass on the display and 3000mAh battery, much smaller that the previous year’s Moto Z Play.
