Xiaomi Mi 6 to feature Snapdragon 835 SoC
Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is rumoured to release the Mi 6 phone powered by recently unveiled Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset.
On November 17, Qualcomm in partners with Samsung unveiled its next-generation smartphone processor Snapdragon 835 with Quick Charge 4.0 technology.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset will be based on a Samsung built 10nm FinFET process, replacing the largely used Snapdragon 820/821 mobile processor based on a 14nm process.
Earlier reports suggest, Samsung Galaxy S8 will be the first smartphone to sport Snapdragon 835. However, according to a report by GSMArena, an iSuppli analyst stated that Mi 6 will be the first Chinese smartphone to feature the upcoming SoC. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will be released at around the same time the Samsung Galaxy S8's international launch, he added.
Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to be launched in March next year.
