iPhone 5s reportedly catches fire while charging
Owner made use of water to stop the fire.
According to a report by MyDrivers, an iPhone 5s reportedly caught fire while charging.
This incident took place when the device owner, Jinan Liu placed his device for charging on the morning of October 16. Upon his return, he saw smoke billowing out of the device.
Liu, who had purchased the device 2 years back from an Apple retail outlet, made use of water to put the fire out.
Report suggests there were elderly people and children in the next room and had Mr. Liu not been aware of the fire, lives may have been at risk.
We are not sure of where exactly this incident took place and whether or not the reported fire is genuine since the cause of the fire is yet to be explored. Apple hasn’t issue a public statement regarding this case yet.
