Samsung Pay to launch on non-Samsung smartphones: report

Samsung is also planning to bring full-fledged Pay on its mid-range smartphones.

Samsung is in talks with OEMs about bringing its mobile payment service Samsung Pay to high-end smartphones pf other companies, according to a report by Gadget 360.

The firm has rolled out the service to non-premium smartphone segment such as Galaxy J7 Pro and J7 Max, and is planning to expand the service to other platforms including iOS as well to be ubiquitous.

The service would allow customers to access multiple bank accounts through a single payment platform. The mobile payment service works with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI Cards, Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank in India. It also comes with a support for Paytm wallet as well. The service comes with support with Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) and Near Field Communication (NFC).

Additionally, the firm is also planning to bring full-fledged Pay on its mid-range smartphones.
