Honor 9 with 6GB RAM, 3,200mAh battery launched at Rs 33,000
The Huawei-backed Honor brand has officially taken the wraps off its flagship smartphone — Honor 9. The device is currently available for sale in UK and European markets at a starting price of 380 pounds and 499 Euros (approximately Rs 33,000) respectively. The device is available for pre-orders on V-mall platforms from next month onwards. The phone will be available in Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and UAE.
As for the specifications, the Honor 9 device packs a 5.15-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by 2.4GHz octa-core Kirin 960 processor coupled with Mali G71 MP8 GPU. The smartphone comes in two storage options 4GB RAM/64GB ROM and 6GB RAM/128GB ROM, with an optional microSD card. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS wrapped under EMUI 5.1 skin. The smartphone further houses a 3,200mAh battery with fast-charging support.
On the camera front, the smartphone features a dual rear camera with 20MP and 12MP and a dual tone LED flash and an 8MP front snapper. The Honor 9 also comes with a fingerprint scanner which is located on its front panel embedded into the home button. Its connectivity options include: Hybrid Dual SIM tray, 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi (a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and NFC. The handset measures 147.3 x 70.9 x 7.45 mm and weighs 155 grams.
