Huawei releases teaser, may launch Mate 9 on Nov 3
Huawei is set to launch their latest premium smartphone flagship, the Mate 9 on November 3 in Munich, Germany. The company recently released a teaser that confirms the various features that viewers can expect with the upcoming smartphone.
Chief among them is the dual-camera setup on the back with sensors by Leica. Several reports suggest the smartphone may sport a 20MP and 12MP rear camera setup with f/2.0 aperture and 4k optical zoom.
At the same time, the front camera may feature 8MP with a fingerprint scanner on the back.
Other rumours suggest that the smartphone may offer 6GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
Huawei’s Mate 9 could sport a 5.9-inch display with 1080x1920 pixel resolution. In addition, the smartphone may be equipped with a 64-bit HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor and 4,000mAh battery.
The device is said to run the latest Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box and could come with USB Type-C port connectivity option.
Huawei’s Mate 9 is expected to come in two variants namely Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro at a starting price of $1,300 (approximately Rs 87,000).
