Vivo V5 Plus gets a huge price cut in India

The smartphone will be available in Matte Black and Gold colour options. It's still unclear whether the price cut is permanent or temporary.

Vivo has slashed the price of its V5 Plus smartphone in the Indian market. The device which was priced at Rs 27,980 at the time of launch, will now be available for Rs 22,990 on the e-commerce website Flipkart.

The smartphone will be available in Matte Black and Gold colour options. It is still unclear whether the price cut is permanent or temporary.

To recall, the Vivo V5 Plus was launched in India in January at a price of Rs 27,980. It was made available with both offline and online retailers in February.

The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, and is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which in not expandable.

It is equipped with a 16MP rear camera with OLED flash, while there is a dual 20MP + 8MP camera setup upfront. On the connectivity front, it offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS connectivity options. The device draws power from a 3055mAh battery in India.
