Samsung announces Galaxy C5, C7: Features, specifications, price
The South Korean smartphone electronics giant Samsung has unveiled two new smartphones, the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 in China.
Galaxy C5: The Galaxy C5 features a 5.2-inch full HD AMOLED display and is built using an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM, and Andreno 405 GPU. The device also supports Qualcomm quick charge 3.0 for a speedy battery topup. In terms of storage, the device features 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded to 128GB via a micro SD card.
The rear camera sports a 16MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture and an LED flash light. The front camera has an 8MP sensor for selfies. The Samsung Galaxy C5 supports 4G LTE on its dual-SIM slots. The device is fuelled by a 2,600mAh battery and runs Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 operating system. The C5 measures 145.9 x 72 x 6.7mm and weighs 143g.
The Galaxy C5 also sports Knox, a security solution by Samsung. The C5 also features a fingerprint sensor and supports Samsung pay using NFC. The smartphone will retail at a price $335 for the 32GB version and $366 for the 64GB variant.
Galaxy C7 : The Galaxy C7 features a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and is built using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Soc coupled with 4GB of RAM, and Adreno 506 GPU. The device also supports Qulacomm Quick Charge 3.0 for a speed battery topup.
In terms of storage, the device features two variants- one with 32GB of internal storage and other with 64GB of storage, which can be further expanded to 128GB via a micro SD card.
The rear camera sports a 16MP with f/1.9 aperture and a dual-tone LED flash light. The front camera has the same aperture with 8MP sensor. The device is fuelled by a 3,300mAh battery and runs Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 operating system. The C7 measures 156.6 x 77.2 x 66.7mm and weighs 165g.
The smartphone also sports multiple connectivity options like, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 + 5GHz), Bluetooth v 4.2, GPS and NFC.The Galaxy C7 is priced at $396 for the 32GB version and $427 for the 64GB variant.
The smartphones are said to be available in four colors: maple leaf gold, pink gold, silver and grey.
While Samsung has announced the two smartphones to be available in China, we are expecting the Galaxy C5 and C7 to show up in India by early next month.
