Nokia 3310 relaunched; top seven highlights of the device
The much-anticipated Nokia 3310 has finally made a comeback at MWC 2017 in Barcelona on Sunday, 26th February. The feature phone — which is priced at EUR 49 (approximately Rs 3,500) has been revised and re-launched with numerous upgrades. Following given are the top highlights of the device:
DESIGN
According to the company, the Nokia 3310 (2017) is ‘reborn with a modern twist on design.’ The feature phone sports rounded corners and a curved screen display that makes it easier for users to read in sunlight. Furthermore, the device packs new push buttons along with a new UI that sports a slight resemblance with its previous version.
CAMERA
The new Nokia 3310 comes equipped with a 2MP rear camera along with LED flash. While the pictures taken with the device’s camera will certainly not be exceptional, the camera update is among the biggest updates made to the iconic handset since 2000.
BATTERY
The Nokia 3310 (2017) houses a 1,200mAh removable battery and can deliver a talk-time of up to 22 hours and a standby time of up to 31 days. The iconic Nokia 3310 device is known for its impressive battery life. Therefore, it didn’t come across as a surprise when this feature was unveiled.
HEADPHONE JACK
The original Nokia 3310 did not sport a headphone jack. However, the company made sure that its 2017 version did. The latest feature phone packs a 3.5mm audio jack. Moreover, the smartphone even supports FM radio as well as MP3 player.
NEW COLOURS
The Nokia 3310 comes in a bunch of fresh and exciting colours including Warm Red and Yellow with a gloss finish and Dark Blue and Grey with a matte finish. The smartphone dons an all-new avatar.
SNAKE GAME
One of the many things that the iconic Nokia 3310 is known for is its fun games — chief of all, Snake II. HMD Global at the official launch event said that the Snake game will indeed be accompanied with the new feature device but along with a few updates. Moreover, the game is also going to available in a new version on Facebook’s Messenger app.
MICRO USB-PORT
Gone are the days when one would have to optimise pin chargers. The new Nokia 3310, unlike the 2000 version of the same device, comes with a new micro USB charging port.
Other features that the device packs is a Nokia Series 30+ OS; 16MP storage, a 2.4-inch QVGA display and more.
