Lenovo to launch Kung-Fu' smartphone internationally

Luckily for customers, the prices for the Moto M devices have been pegged to be lower than Moto Z smartphones.

Smartphone manufacturers often come up with wacky nicknames for their new devices. Following the same tune, Lenovo is expected to launch its Moto M device, nicknamed ‘Kung-Fu’.

The smartphone was leaked a few days ago in live images, revealing its design. While the smartphone was expected to retail only in China, Techroider reported that the device would be available internationally.

The smartphone will apparently be launched in two variants — XT1662 and XT1663. One out of the two variants — XT1663 — might be made available globally. The report also pointed out that the launch will be limited to countries in Asia.

In terms of specifications leaked recently, the Moto M devices are speculated to feature a 5.5-inch FHD display. According to benchmarking site TENAA, the smartphones might be powered by a 2.1 GHz MediaTek processor along with 4GB RAM. Both the phones might also sport 16MP rear camera and a front 8MP snapper. All this is expected to be backed up by a 3,000mAh battery.

However, a previous benchmark listing pointed out that the XT1663 variant could equip a smaller 4.6-inch display with 1080x1920 pixel resolution. The previous listing also indicated that it could also run an octa-core 1.9GHz MediaTek SoC instead.

The RAM capacity could also be limited to 3GB on the XT1663, along with 32GB internal storage space. Rumours also suggested that the Moto M could have a full-metal body, sans the home button at the front.
