Xiaomi to unveil Redmi Pro on July 27
Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi will be unveiling its much anticipated Redmi Pro smartphone on July 27 in Beijing, China. Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun took to Weibo to tease the device.
The image reveals the upper half of the phone’s rear panel, but the design corroborates the previous leaks. The company has already confirmed the specifications of the device.
The smartphone will be powered by MediaTek Helio X25 2.5 Ghz deca core chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. Other rumors suggest that Redmi Pro will sport a 5.5 inch full HD display and will have 4GB RAM with a 13MP rear shooter.
The device is reportedly priced at RMB 1,299, with the top model costing RMB 1,399.
There are also reports, that the company may launch its first MI laptop alongside the smartphone. Xiaomi’s laptop reportedly resembles the Apple Macbook’s design.
Leaks indicate that the notebook will run on a Skylake processor. It will be coupled with an Intel Core i7-6500U (2 cores, 4 threads, base clock speed 2.50GHz, Turbo speed 3.10GHz) and 8 GB of RAM.
