New leak shows budget iPhone X will come with a single rear camera
There have been a lot of leaks and rumours surrounding the next smartphones from Apple and it is widely believed that they will be launching three flagship handsets this year. The first one could be the successor to the iPhone X and it is expected to come with the same external features as its predecessor, the second, a plus-sized version of the iPhone X and will sport a 6.5-inch OLED display, the last is expected to be a budget version and it is expected to be fitted with a 6.1-inch LCD panel and this version will be the most affordable of the three models.
A new leak has pointed to the fact that the budget iPhone X will come equipped with a single rear camera as opposed to the twin shooters on the iPhone X and the probable triple rear snappers on the iPhone X Plus.
As per a report by BGR, the 6.1-inch iPhone will cost the same as the iPhone 8 and will have a single rear camera. The latest computer mock-up case images of the upcoming budget iPhone stick to those same criteria, thereby confirming previous reports of the single back camera.
If the rumours of the 6.1-inch Apple iPhone with the LCD display are true, this will be the first time that Apple will be using a notch on an LCD display. It is reported that due to this feature, the LCD variant could possibly be delayed by two months. So, even if Apple announces the phone in September, the device might not be available to purchase till November. This was the same case last year with the iPhone X, where Apple announced it in September and released it by November.
As far as dimensions go, the 6.1-inch iPhone is believed to be chunkier than the iPhone X at 8.3mm. The iPhone X is 7.7mm thick. Like the iPhone X, the upcoming 6.1-inch iPhone will have a camera bump, taking the thickness to about 9.8mm. The length and breadth of the upcoming LCD iPhone are believed to be 150.99mm x 76.5mm.
Even though images of cases have leaked ahead of its announcement in September, these are merely rumours and speculations, so Apple could change it or forego it completely at the name of its launch.
