Get iOS 12 early on your iPhone with the new public beta

Apple has released the new iOS public beta versions where users can experience this new OS without a need of a developer account.

At WWDC this year, Apple has released the most anticipated iOS 12 update to all the existing iPhones line-up. The new OS support was announced for devices as old as iPhone 5s, which was launched in 2013. As in after every other WWDC event, Apple had released the first iOS 12 Beta update for the app developers to play around on the same day. This is only for developers who pay $99 every year to create a developer account and make their apps optimised for the new iOS 12, which will be made available to the public later in the fall. However, Apple has released its first public beta of the iOS 12 for all the iPhone users.

If you are an iPhone user, all you need to do is subscribe to the Apple’s Public Beta Program here with your Apple ID (it is completely free for all devices). After subscribing your Public Beta Profile gets installed on your iPhone, further, you can see the new iOS 12 first public beta on the software update section in the settings application. Do keep in mind that this is a beta version and you can experience minimal bugs, we would recommend not to install on the primary device or you can install it if you have another device in spare.

As for the new features with the iOS 12 update, Apple has made some significant changes and improvements with the update. The newly announced features at WWDC include new ways to experience AR, as well as improvements to make communication more fun, Memoji, Group FaceTime and Group Notifications and a lot more. iOS 12 also introduced Siri Shortcuts, enabling the Apple AI voice assistant to work with any app, enabling a faster way to get things done. Additionally, iOS 12 is designed to make everyday tasks on iPhone and iPad even faster and more responsive to performance improvements across the system. The camera now launches faster and the keyboard appears faster with typing even more responsive.

And lastly, if you want to drop out this Public beta program, you can head into Settings > General > Profile > Remove Profile.
