Xiaomi had launched the bezel-less Mi MIX which had caused quite a flutter in the smartphone space. The launch had sent manufacturers scrambling to get their own products to measure up to the Mi MIX. With an approx 92 per cent screen to body ratio, the MIX is one of the biggest phablets ever.
The Mi MIX was made out of ceramic which makes it susceptible to damage (ouch!). This is however unclear as to why the rumor started, but there is a probability that it is coming from China and that has been fuelled by fans who desire to have a smaller alternative at their disposal.
There were reports of Xiaomi supposedly working on a smaller version of the Mi MIX which would be called as the Mi MIX nano and could have been released on the market just in time for the holiday shopping season.
However, there’s no such thing as a Mi MIX nano, a Xiaomi exec has recently confirmed. The Chinese company does not plan to introduce a smaller Mi Mix, at least not for the time being.
According to Zang Zhiyuan, “There’s no such product as the Mi Mix Nano.” The short note has been posted on Weibo, but has been deleted for unknown reasons.
