Xiaomi Mi Note 2 with SD 821 SoC and 22.5MP camera launched
Xiaomi has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone at an event in Beijing. The highlight of the smartphone is the dual curved edge display. The company has used a 3D curved glass on both front and rear panel.
The smartphone sports a 5.7-inches OLED flexible display and is powered by a 2.35GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 Performance Edition SoC. It is equipped with a 22.56MP rear camera with a Sony IMX318 Exmor RS sensor, an f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and EIS with its own 3-axis gyroscope for 4K video stabilisation. It also packs in an 8MP front facing snapper for selfie enthusiasts.
On the connectivity front the device offers 4G LTE connectivity, WiFi and a high-quality 24-bit / 192kHZ DAC. The phablet draws power from a 4070mAh battery paired with Quick Charge 3.
The device will be available in three variants, a 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model priced at CNY 2,799, a 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model for CNY 3,299, and the Global Edition 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model with support for global LTE bands priced at CNY 3,499.
