Unboxing: Alleged Pixel 3 XL revealed in its full glory
There’s no denying that the upcoming Google smartphones – Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have been one of the most talked-about devices, thanks to the regular leaks and rumours surfacing over the internet. The involvement is especially from the side of Russian bloggers many of whom seem to have already got their hands on the yet-to-be launched Pixel 3 XL.
Just when we were done with the relentless rumours and leaks of the smartphone, a Russian YouTube channel which goes by the name In DIGI published an unboxing video of the Pixel 3 XL, in its full glory.
The video, along with the 6.2-inch-display smartphone, shows all the accessories which will perhaps be offered along with the device. It consists of the USB type-C charger, wired earphones with tiny hook to fit in the ears and data switch adapter for transferring data from one device to another. It also comes with type-C-to-3.5mm headphone connecter which means, like the new iPhones, it won’t come with a 3.5mm headphone port.
As can be noticed in the video, the headphone strap bears the address Googel.com and the different spelling gives rise to various suspicions signaling that this video could be a sham. Also noticed by CNET is the lettering on the headphone connecter sticker which reads DVT samples. This probably means that these are the units which were supposed to go through the design verification process.
Apart from the thick notch, not much has been changed in terms of design and it seems to continue with the same rounded form factor. The bezels have gotten shorter though.
Coming to the camera of the Google Pixel 3 XL, various leaks in the past have suggested that it will retain the 12.2MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and 8MP selfie camera with similar aperture. The video also reveals a new type of camera icon which could be an update in the camera app.
There are many more speculations about the upcoming features which have come across in several leaks in the past. However, which of these are true can be known only when the smartphone is launched.
