Xiaomi unveils Redmi Note 4 with Mediatek Helio X20 SoC
Xiaomi has finally taken wraps off its much anticipated smartphone, the Redmi Note 4. The device is launched in two variants, one with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, while the other with 3GB Ram and 64GB of internal storage.
The 2GB variant is priced at CNY 899 (approx Rs 9,000), while the 3GB variant will be selling at a price of CNY 1,199 (approx Rs 12,000). Both device will go on sale starting September 26 and will be available on Xiaomi’s online store, Mi.com.
The smartphone sports a full metal design and packs in a 5.5 inch full HD 2.5D curved glass display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution with a pixel density of 401 ppi. It is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 paired with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.
It runs on company’s own MiUI 8 wrapped under Android 6.0 Marshmallow and offers hybrid SIM slot. The smartphone also boasts a fingerprint sensor for additional security.
It is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, while there is 5MP front camera also on board. Both 16GB and 32GB variant are expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card.
On the connectivity front, the Redmi Note 4 offers GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro-USB, and Glonass. The smartphone is backed by a huge 4100mAh battery and includes a MicroUSB port.
