iPhone 8 scores blows away other flagships, but with the right benchmarks

In the smartphone tech of today, it is all about processing power but there is only so much power one can stuff into a small device.

The latest flagship from Apple, the iPhone 8 is here. The new iPhone 8/8 Plus comes with the all new and faster A11 Bionic processor, which by the looks of it, is much powerful than any of the current processors available for Android. This looks suspicious, though.

In the smartphone tech of today, it is all about processing power but there is only so much power one can stuff into a small device. There is also a battery constraint which means there has to be a balance between processing power and battery capacity.

This is one of the main reasons why the mobile processors do not seem to jump too much in performance from one generation to another. It looks like the new A11 Bionic processor in the latest iPhone 8 broke the stalemate and is now much more powerful than the previous generation, and than anything that Android devices have to offer on the market right now.

The first benchmark results have landed and it seems the difference in processing power is just mind blowing. Apple has not stated how they managed to pull it off but the scores looks like Apple has the upper hand now.

You can check out the full review scores in Tom’s Guide benchmarks, and also official benchmarks provided by Geekbench themselves.
