InFocus Bingo 10: Cheapest Android smartphone running on Marshmallow

The Bingo 10 is equipped with 5MP front and rear cameras, both of which come with LED flash.

Mumbai: On March 21, InFocus launched what is the cheapest Android smartphone running on the latest Marshmallow operating system. The Bingo 10 smartphone is priced at an ultra-affordable price tag of Rs 4,299, and is exclusively available on the e-commerce website Snapdeal.

We recently got an opportunity for a hands-on observation of the device and here is what we drew out of the smartphone’s experience.

The InFocus Bingo 10 features a 4.5-inch display, which is enclosed within a plastic body. Although the material of the rear panel feels slightly shoddy, but the overall feel of the handset is quite strong and sturdy. The smartphone comes bundled with a USB 2.0 charging cable and an adapter, but no headphones.

The Bingo 10 features a 5MP camera on the front and rear of the device. The front camera comes with 4X digital zoom and flash light. The primary camera includes flash light and face recognition feature.

Although the smartphone features a 5MP smartphone, the quality of images is just about okay. The pictures clicked from the phone lack appropriate brightness and sharpness.

Under the hood, the InFocus Bingo 10 is powered by a 1.3 GHz MediaTek quad-core processor, with 1 GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 64GB using a microSD card. The smartphone is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery, which easily lasts for about 36 hours, however the battery runtime also differs with the kind of usage of the smartphone.

Performance-wise the Bingo 10 does fairly well, it runs quite smoothly, with no lags being noticed through an app to app transition.

Over all, we thought the InFocus Bingo 10 is just about an average smartphone, but the fact that it runs on the latest Android v6.0 Marshmallow operating system, and costs just Rs 4,299, easily brings it to an above average mark. Considering the 1GB of RAM, we suggest this smartphone for people who do not use very heavy softwares on the smartphone, and are looking for a decently prices and well-performing handset.
