Google updates Pixel phones with double-tap and raise-to-wake features

The features will allow Pixel smartphone users to see alerts with one tap on the display.
Advance orders began Tuesday starting at roughly $650 for the 5-inch version and $750 for the slightly larger 5.5-inch screen.
Google has started rolling out its very first update for Pixel phones which will include double-tap and raise-to-wake features.
The features will allow Pixel smartphone users to see alerts with one tap on the display. Users can also raise the phone to wake the screen to see notifications. The raise-to-wake feature was also pushed to iPhone users via iOS 10 last month.
Users can enable the feature in ‘Moves’ section available in the general setting panel, where users will find “Double-tap to check phone” and “Lift to check phone.”
Unfortunately, the update has only been made available to Canada owners. However, it is expected that Google will roll out the update in other countries in upcoming days.
