Over 1 million smartphones sold in 2 days, claims Xiaomi

Xiaomi recorded to sell more than 300 smartphones every minute between Sept. 20 and Sept. 22.

As the two e-commerce retail giants, Amazon and Flipkart, set in their four-day sale, starting Sept. 21, over a million of Xiaomi smartphones have been claimed to be sold within 48 hours in the country across the platforms.

In a press statement released by Xiaomi, the Chinese company has recorded to sell more than 300 smartphones every minute between Sept. 20 and Sept. 22.

“A significant increase in sale” has been observed by the company this year in comparison the last year – when it took 18 days to sell over one million smartphones.

Among all the Xiaomi smartphones listed for sale, Redmi Note 4 is the most purchased unit on Flipkart. “It was the highest selling smartphone during Flipkart’s Big Billion Day Sale,” the company said.

The 3GB RAM/32GB ROM variant of Redmi Note 4 is available at a price of Rs 9,999 while the 4GB RAM/64GB storage version can be purchased at a price of Rs 10,999 on Flipkart.

Also, the 4GB RAM/32GB ROM version of Redmi 4A retails at a price of Rs 6,999 on Flipkart. Xiaomi Redmi 4 with 3GB RAM, 32GB is available for Rs 8,499 while its 4GB + 64GB ROM variant is selling for Rs 9,499. 4GB RAM+ 32GB ROM Xiaomi Mi Max 2 can be purchased for Rs 12,999 while the 64GB storage option for Rs 14,999.

Last year we sold more than a million smartphones within 18 days, and this year we were able to achieve a similar number within 48 hours.
