What all new will we see in iPhone 8 that no other smartphone yet has

The iPhone 8 is due to launch in September, but many industrialists argue the device may not release until October.

This year’s iPhone release is not only special for Apple fans but also for all its makers as well. After all, 2017 is the 10th anniversary of the first Apple iPhone – a gadget that set the path for revolution in the mobile phone market and popularised it as the ‘smartphone’ market instead.

Apple’s theory behind its products lies in a belief, a belief to deliver the “best, not first”. In a statement to Bloomberg, Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook had said: “We don’t feel an impatience to be first. It’s just now we are wired. Our thing is to be the best and to give user something that really makes a difference in their lives.” And that’s all Apple fans are looking forward to.

The phone is indeed expected to set bars for rivals at a perfection level, but it may not be that innovative that Apple can make it to be. Like many other flagship smartphones, the iPhone 8 too has been a long-talked subject in the floating river of speculations.

In the range of leaked information appeared about the iPhone 8, the phone is confirmed to feature some completely new technologies -- not sported by any other smartphone brands, and some that already exists and could be seen featured by rivals too.

One such technology includes OLED screen. Although iPhone 8 will be Apple’s first smartphone to debut the display technology, but smartphones including Galaxy S8, Motorola Z2 Force and OnePlus 5 already use it.

The nearly all-screen design is present in Samsung Galaxy S8 and Andy Rubin's Essential Phone. Then the slimmer bezels, comes in Galaxy S8, Essential Phone and LG G6. Also, the virtual home button, the iPhone 8 is know to come up with, is there in Galaxy S8, Pixel and Essential Phone. However, in Apple’s case iPhone 8 will be the first smartphone to incorporate a virtual home button.

On the other hand, features including Stainless steel edges and glass front and back in the iPhone 8 model will be taken up from Apple’s ole iPhone models – iPhone 4 and 4s.

But, the 3D facial recognition technology to unlock the phone in a few “hundred milliseconds” and make payments, an infrared sensor to allow for in-the-dark facial recognition, a ‘SmartCamera’ that will enable the device to detect a specific scene and optimise the setting for better pictures and a reconfigured camera for better augmented reality apps will be all new to the market, reported Bloomberg. Furthermore, the handset will be the powered by Apple’s faster A11 processor based on a 10nm chipset and will operated on firm’s latest operating system iOS 11.

However, all aforementioned details will be confirmed on the day of its launch.

The iPhone 8 is due to launch in September, but many industrialists argue the device may not release until October due to low yield of OLED display. For now, we can only wait.
