LeEco to launch 8GB RAM smartphone

The device is expected to retail at a price for around Rs 31,000

LeEco had officially announced, at the MWC 2016, that the company will be releasing a new high-end device. Later, the Le Max 2 was launched, which sported 6GB of RAM. Last week, as we reported earlier, the market speculated that LeEco is working towards launching a new smartphone that would feature 8GB of RAM to notch up in race of the smartphones.

Apart from the 8GB RAM rumour, a suggested leak from GizChina claims that the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 or 823 chipset. It also said to sport a 25MP sensor camera and the device is expected to retail at a price for around Rs 31,000. Media reports speculate that the new device could sport a design similar to the Le Max 2 and could be named as the Le Max 2 Pro.

However, the company hasn’t confirmed anything as yet, and the teaser also does not inform anything much about the product. As for teaser, it simply shows a speeding bullet shooting out of a firearm which probably spells out “speed” or “blazing performance”. Additionally, the date mentions the launch event on June 29, 2 pm.
