Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro launched in India with an AI quad-camera setup

It features an AI-powered quad-camera setup and a 4000mAh two-day battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 6 Pro in India and it comes with alluring features such as two-day battery life and for the first time bringing an AI-powered quad-camera experience to this segment of smartphones. The Redmi Note 6 Pro is the successor to the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the number 1 dual camera smartphone in India as per a report from Canalys in July 2018.

Redmi Note 6 Pro features a contemporary arc design and sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor. It features an AI-powered quad-camera setup, a 4000mAh two-day battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and a high-speed LPDDR4X RAM. , Redmi Note 6 Pro’s 20MP + 2MP AI dual camera on the front allows you to take portrait photos along with live portrait previews. Xiaomi claims that the 12MP + 5MP AI dual camera setup on the rear with large 1.4µm pixels results in clear images even in low light. The new AI Portrait Mode 2.0 on both the front and rear, allow you to apply dynamic bokeh effects—including effects like Light trails and Studio Lighting—to your images.

Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a 6.26-inch FHD+ IPS display with a 19:9 aspect ratio which is reinforced with Corning Gorilla Glass to protect the display. It comes with a 500-nit brightness and a 1500:1 contrast ratio. The handset comes with MIUI 10 out of the box based on Android Oreo. Xiaomi states that MIUI 10’s multitude of optimisations mean that Redmi Note 6 Pro offers a bump in battery life, as well as features including Wi-Fi passthrough and a completely revamped recents menu.

Redmi Note 6 Pro comes in Black, Rose Gold, Blue and Red colours, and in 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 64GB variants.

Redmi Note 6 Pro 4GB + 64GB is priced at Rs 13,999 and 6GB + 64GB variant is priced at Rs 15,999. Additionally, the Redmi Note 6 Pro will go on a Black Friday sale one day after launch across Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home on 23rd November, 2018 at 12 noon for Rs 12,999 for 4GB + 64GB variant and Rs 14,999 for 6GB + 64GB variant.
