Samsung launched a new range of its Galaxy J devices including the Galaxy J4 Plus and J6 Plus. As per Samsung, these smartphones are specially created for young millennials.
Galaxy J6 Plus and J4 Plus have a glass finish, reflective back that comes in three colours – Red, Black and Blue in case of Galaxy J6 Plus, and Gold, Black and Blue in case of Galaxy J4 Plus. The new smartphones sport Samsung’s signature True HD+ Infinity design that gives users nearly 15 per cent more display area without increasing the overall size of the device.
Both Galaxy J6 Plus and J4 Plus are L1 Widevine certified and are coupled with Dolby Atmos which, as per the company, enables consumers to enjoy a full 360-degree surround sound experience. The Galaxy J6 Plus comes with side fingerprint sensor, a first for any Galaxy device.
Both Galaxy J6 Plus and J4 Plus come with a new Emotify feature, which allows consumers to customise messages. Emotify avatars, available in 22 Indian languages, can be shared across instant messaging and on social media. This feature has been developed by a Bangalore-based start-up.
Galaxy J6 Plus comes with 13MP/5MP dual rear camera setup that lets along with features such as Background Blur and Dolly Zoom. The device also packs in an 8MP front camera with variable selfie flash. Galaxy J4 Plus sports a 13MP rear and a 5MP front camera.
Both devices will also have the ‘Make for India’ feature, install apps to SD card. With this memory management solution, consumers can install applications directly on the memory card thereby ensuring that their phone memory remains free.
Both devices are powered by Snapdragon 425 processor. The Galaxy J6 Plus comes with 4GB RAM /64GB ROM, while Galaxy J4 Plus comes with 2GB RAM /32GB ROM. Both devices are powered by a 3,300mAh battery and run on Android Oreo operating system.
The Galaxy J6 Plus and Galaxy J4 Plus will be available from September 25, 2018 onwards across Samsung India’s retail outlets, online channels including Amazon and Flipkart, and on Samsung Shop. Galaxy J6+ is priced at Rs 15,990 while Galaxy J4+ will be available for Rs 10,990. Moreover, Samsung is also offering ‘One time Screen Replacement Offer’ at Rs 990 till November 11.
