Gionee has launched its selfie-centric smartphone for the Indian market at a price of Rs 17,999. The smartphone appears to be identical to the previously launched Gionee S6.
The selfie centric smartphone sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display with 2.5D Curved Edge Glass. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM.
The smartphone is equipped with a 13 P rear camera with Sony IMX258 sensor and LED flash, while there is an 8MP front facing shooter for selfies. The device houses a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel for added security.
The S6s incorporates 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. On the connectivity front the device offers 4G LTE alongside WiFi, Bluetooth and Micro-USB. The smartphone is fuelled by a 3150 mAh battery.
