Your iPhone 7 will warn if there's water in the Lightning port

There are 10 other important features coming in iOS 10 and boy, are they something to look forward to.

The new OS issues a warning whenever any type of liquid is detected in the Lightning port. This was first spotted by Reddit user, Lucioghosty. This update is likely to be a part of the September release.

While, it is still not clear which iPhone models actually support it; the latest 6’s generation certainly does.

‘Disconnect Lightning accessory. Liquid has been detected in the Lightning connector. To protect your iPhone, disconnect this Lightning accessory and allow the connector to dry,’ the message reads. Users can opt for the ‘Ignore’ option if they don’t mind taking the risk.

This seems to be the first step towards making Apple devices waterproofed.
