OnePlus 5 unveiled in India, starts at Rs 32,999
Chinese manufacturer OnePlus has announced its latest “killer flagship” OnePlus 5 in India. The smartphone can be purchased from Amazon India from 4.30PM today at a price of R 32,999 for 6GB RAM/64GB memory storage and Rs 37,999 for 8GB RAM/128GB storage.
Its key traits: OnePlus 5 is powered by Qulacomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 octo-core processor, coupled with 8GB RAM, is equipped with dual camera setup and operates on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
OnePlus 5 features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,920x1080. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon’s 835 processor, coupled with 8GB RAM in the 128GB storage variant and 6GB RAM with 64GB storage option.
The OnePlus 5 features a dual rear camera, akin to an iPhone 7 Plus and various other smartphones. The wide-angle lens is a 16MP Sony IMX 398 with an aperture of f/1.7 and has Electrical Image Stabilisation (EIS). The secondary telephoto lens is a 20MP Sony IMX 350 sensor with an aperture of f/2.6.This hardware, along with software trickery, makes for a compelling camera unit on paper.
A more detailed 16MP camera front-camera with a 1-micron pixel Sony IMX371 sensor, an f/2.0 aperture, and an active screen flash with three modes to choose from—On, Off and Auto. The phone retains the 3.5mm headphone jack.
It also operates on Android Nougat 7.1.1 with OxygenOS atop. The phone comes in Midnight Black and Slate Grey colours, and is touted as the “slimmest OnePlus flagship ever” with 154.2x74.1x7.25mm in measurement.
