After the unveiling at MWC last month, Gionee has announced the A1 in India. The new smartphone boasts of a high-end 16MP front camera with flash and is aimed towards the selfie-driven market.
The rear camera is a 13MP with dual tone flash. As for the specifications, the A1 sports a 5.5-inch full HD in-cell display and is powered by a 64-bit 2ghz Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 processor clubbed with a Mali-T860MP2 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
The smartphone features a hybrid dual SIM slot with support for 4G LTE. Lastly, the A1 is fuelled by a 4010mah battery that supports ultra fast charging, and Android Nougat 7.0.
The A1 is encased in an all-metal body with a weight of 183g. Taking advantage of the high-end front camera, Gionee has launched Selfistan, a campaign to get Indians together as one with the help of selfies. A1 will be available in Black Grey and gold colours from March 31.
Gionee has not yet disclosed the pricing of the newly launched smartphone.
