Lenovo S5 Pro with Snapdragon 636 SoC, quad cameras launched
Lenovo S5 Pro has been launched at an event in China, which is the sequel to the S5, launched back in March. The smartphone comes with a starting price of 1,298 Yuan (approx Rs 13,700) for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant and 1,398 Yuan (approximately Rs 14,800 for the 6GB/128GB configuration. It will be available in Black, Blue, and Gold colour options.
The smartphone is built around a Snapdragon 636 octa-core chipset, paired with Adreno 509 GPU. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ZUI 5.0 on top. The device embraces a 6.18-inch full HD+ display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It is kept alive by a 3500mAh battery, which supports 15W fast charging.
On the photography front, the handset packs in a dual rear camera setup, including a 20MP f/1.8 primary camera and a 12MP f/2.6 secondary camera. The setup also offers 2x loss-less, optical zoom and supports AI-based portrait shots. The handset gets a 20MP+8MP dual shooter for selfies. Additionally, there's also an infrared-powered face unlock and offers support for AI-powered portrait shots and 3D ambient lighting. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is also equipped with a rear fingerprint sensor.
