Kodak launches smartphone aimed at photographers
Camera company Kodak has launched a smartphone aimed especially at photo enthusiasts. The smartphone named Kodak Ektra comes equipped with DSLR-like modes and features and is expected to be priced roughly at Rs 36,800.
The Kodak Ektra smartphone was first launched in Europe. Manufactured by a UK-based company Bullitt Group, the smartphone boosts of 21MP fast-focus rear camera with OIS, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and dual-LED flash. There’s an additional 13MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF for selfies.
The smartphone further comes equipped with a camera app that offers users with DSLR modes such as Smart Auto, Portrait, Manual, Sports, Bokeh, Night-time, HDR, Panorama, Macro, Landscape and 4K Video Capture.
Additionally, users can also make use of the Advanced Manual mode feature to adjust exposure, ISO, focal length, white balance, shutter speed and aperture.
Another default app that the smartphone comes with is Print which lets users order physical copies of the pictures they click as well.
As far as other specifications are concerned, the smartphone sports a 5-inch full HD display with 441 ppi pixel density. Powered by a 2.3GHz Helio X20 deca-core processor, the device comes paired with 3GB of RAM and up to 32GB of internal storage option.
The phone packs a 3000mAh battery and supports USB Type-C charging. Other connectivity options include 4G-enabled Nano SIM slot, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v4.1 and 3.5mm audio jack among others.
