Cool S1 with Snapdragon 821, Harman speakers and 6GB RAM launched

LeEco in a successful collaboration with Coolpad has launched a brand new smartphone in China called Cool S1. The device is available in three variants and is priced at $460 (approximately Rs 32,000).

The handset features a 5.5-inch display with full HD (1080p) support. Cool S1 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor and offers 6GB RAM along with 128GB of internal storage. There is no mention of a microSD slot card yet.

Furthermore, the smartphone sports a 16MP rear camera with PDAF (Phase-Detection AutoFocus) and 4K video recording along with Dual-LED flash and an 8MP front camera.

The two companies have also added Harman Kardon front-facing speakers to the smartphone. The Cool S1 is powered by 4,070mAh battery and runs LeEco’s EUI 5.8 based on Android 6.0 Marhsmallow. The device sports USB Type-C port. The Cool S1 has been launched in China as of now, however, there are no details regarding when the smartphone will be available in other markets yet.
