Forget OnePlus 7! This new Vivo handset has all you need and more

Dual pop-up selfie camera on the Vivo V17 Pro is the highlight however, it also comes with an in-display scanner and a 48MP primary shooter.

2019 has been a stellar year for Vivo and after recently launching the Z1x with a Snapdragon 712 chipset, the Chinese company is back at it again. This time around, Vivo has launched a beautiful upper-midrange handset called the Vivo V17 Pro and its major highlight is the dual pop-up selfie camera.

The Vivo V17 Pro comes with a large 6.44-inch FHD+ 20:9 Super AMOLED display which the brand has dubbed as an Ultra FullView Display. The screen here comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner and bears no notch above due to the aforementioned pop-up camera system.

This dual-camera system comes with a 32MP primary sensor and an 8MP wide-angle lens and the latter provides a 105-degree field of view. The pop-up camera also features an earpiece and a flash which the brand has termed Selfie Softlight. This will help with better low-light shots. Also, Vivo has thrown in a feature called Night Selfie which works by combining multiple frames for better results during night photography.

On the rear, there is a quad-camera configuration that’s aligned vertically in the centre. This comprises of a 48MP Sony IMX582 primary sensor, a 13MP telephoto 2x zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle and a 2MP depth module. The 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens can be used to shoot macro images from a distance as close as 2.5cm.

The Vivo V17 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 675 chipset and paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The handset features Android 9 with Funtouch OS 9.1 on top. This skin features Multi-Turbo and Game Mode. Lastly, it features a 4100mah battery that supports 18W Dual-Engine Fast Charging tech.

Vivo V17 Pro launch

The Vivo V17 Pro comes in Crystal Black and Crystal Sky and is priced at Rs 29,990. It will be available for purchase on September 27 on Vivo’s website, Amazon, Flipkart as well as offline stores across the country.
